Douglas Emmett Tenants
A forum for those who live and work at Douglas Emmett facilities to discuss issues and stay informed

About Us

DE-Tenants.org is an independent website sponsored by the Operating Engineers, Local 501, which represents Maintenance Engineers working at commercial office properties across Southern California, including at some Douglas Emmett, Inc. (NYSE: DEI) properties. Local 501 is currently in a labor dispute with Douglas Emmett.

Tenants and the workers who service those tenants at Douglas Emmett facilities spend much of their days, months and years inside these buildings. Most, however, do not have ready access to health, safety and regulatory information for their respective Douglas Emmett buildings.

This website is intended to serve as an interactive informational platform for those who live and work at Douglas Emmett facilities to discuss issues and stay informed. Douglas Emmett tenants can use the site to Take Action and communicate their building issues, concerns or complaints.

Initial site topics will include information on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), along with a corresponding IAQ tenant survey; data from the Los Angeles County Buildings Department and Water Quality Control Board; Litigation involving Douglas Emmett; and a deeper look into Douglas Emmett’s latest financial partner, the Qatar Investment Authority – the sovereign wealth fund of the Middle Eastern nation of Qatar.

Our information will be based on government records, publicly available information and communications received from Douglas Emmett tenants. De-Tenants.org is updated regularly, so we encourage Douglas Emmett tenants and workers to stay alert and register for site updates.

Working together, Douglas Emmett tenants can build a stronger community.
